View Full Version : Can anyone else see "inside" their iPhone 3G through the left side of the screen?

I've seen two different units and in both of them when the backlight/screen is on I can see intermittent strips of light through the crack where the silver rim meets the glass. On my old iPhone I could see a tiny strip of light sometimes (I can't remember exactly where it was) but nothing at all this obvious. The strips go all the way down the side.

It's very visable at night when the screen is on.

I just ssumed I had a defective unit until I saw someone else's in a different country and the same thing is there. It's like the rim isn't 'stuck' to the glass properly.

Yep, mine does that, too.

It's not enough to make me take it back, though

Take it back for an exchange. There has been multiple post in this forum concerning problems with the screen lining up or fitting properly.

I agree. I barely ever notice it and it isn't stopping the phone from working. I love my 3G!:D

My 1st 3G (black 16 GB) had the gap issue. I returned it and the 2nd one is sealed up tight- much better quality all around.
