Belkin Tunebase and iPhone with case

Hello. I'm new here.
Just got my first cell phone, a 1st gen iPhone.

Question: Can I use the Belkin Tunebase with an iphone in a case (without having to take off the case)? If it's possible it probably depends on the case. If you know of any certain cases that work with the tunebase please let me know.
