How do I do it? I am trying to bring the spatter filter setting back to default which I forgot what it was.

I googled how to do this and it showed up that I need to hold down Opt+Cmd+Shift right after photoshop loads. But it isn't doing it for me...Can I use another method?

I am using Photoshop CS3.

you could try deleting your prefs...in your user folder, go to library/preferences/Photoshop CS 3 Settings/ and move "Photoshop CS3 Prefs.psp" out of the folder. that will reset all your prefs. you could then look at the settings for that tool, write them down, move your old prefs back and reset the tool manually.

Resetting Preferences at Launch Time
If you would like to reset all of your Photoshop preferences, simultaneously hold down the
Control+Alt+Shift (Windows), Command+Option+Shift (Mac) keys as you launch the application

Note: The key combination must be held down as you launch the application, not after.

The key combination worked for me now. Thanks.

It seems that I had to press it immediately after I clicked the Photoshop icon on my dock.
