oops.. resetting the 3g phone completely does not take 2 min

Me too. Worse I was at work and didn't have my sync cable to do the activation and had to wait until I found someone with a cable. My quick (I thought) restore took 5 hours.
 
Can you guys tell me how long your restoration bar styed full for before going to the next step? Im in the process of restoring now but iTunes is just showing me a completed restore bar and not going further.
 
NYSole, mine took about 2 hours and 15-25 minutes...and I was so exhausted that I lost track of what my iPhone was doing. All I know is that I didn't have to go through all that restore crap! But, I was unsure of the process and wanted to transfer my iTunes music/videos, and I was following someone else's advice and I did a restore and lost all of my music and video in the process. The advice came from my ex-brother!!!😱
