I was sitting here thinking about this -- what finger does everyone use to scroll with on his or her iPod touch? I find the index fingers sticks to much, so I went to the middle finger and boom, easy scroll. I knew it had another purpose.:D

Same. I find it works very well. Otherwise I'll use my index or middle finger.

I do that two or hold my iPod in my left hand and use my index finger to scroll

it depends on why i need to touch the screen and how touch is positioned. usually i end up using my thumbs though.

Don't know why, but I feel my thumb and fore finger stick slightly.

With out thinking about it i would say my index finger, but now i realise, i do use my middle finger allot for scrolling and even for basic navigating. It is just easier

I use both my thumb and my index finger. It just depends on how I'm holding the iPod.

When I have used one I used thumb in landscape orientation and index in portrait mode, sometimes I would scroll with the back of my finger (finger nail) so it slides effortlessly.

I usually use my middle finger or my thumb. It just depends on the position of the ipod in my hand.

Thumb/index on my right hand, unless I'm playing a game that requires the attention of both hands... ;-)

Portrait:
- Navigating around: left hand, thumb & right middle/index finger to scroll
- Typing: Both hands to hold, thumbs to type. I am a kid with miniscule thumbs, so this works fine.
- Games, etc: Both hands holding, thumbs to tap OR Left hand holding right hand tapping.
- Pinching: Left-hand to hold, index & middle finger.
Landscape:
- Navigating around: Both hands to hold, thumb(s) to scroll
- Typing: Both hands to hold, thumbs to type. I am a kid with miniscule thumbs, so this works fine.
- Games, etc: Both hands holding, thumbs to tap.
I find this works best for the way I use my Touch. I use it all the time, mainly for the web, more often than my computer, and I'm on the computer like all the time!

Actually, quite a few different body parts work on the screen...:D
I know this for a fact.

portrait, hold with left hand, scroll/zoom with right index finger and middle, thumbs for typing.
Landscape (which is always prefered for me.) I use thumbs for everything.

BTW, I use my thumb whenever I use only one hand. If it's two, then I use my index finger.

That's a great question...a little dirty if you're a person always with their mind in the gutter like some of these folks. :D
I'd have to go with a lot of the people on here with Thumb or Index finger. My index finger does stick more than my thumb but i think it's because there's more force behind my index finger and less balance. If you know what I mean. The thumb just moves easier across the glass. If I'm using two hands then I'll usually use my index finger. If I'm using one hand then I'll just use my thumb. Wow, that does sound dirty.:p

How do guys zoom in and out in Safari? I went to the Apple store to look at a Touch. (I'll most likely get one next revision, BTW.) But it was really hard for me to use the "two fingers-pinch" to zoom in and out. How do you guys do it? I was using my index and middle fingers.

If you need to, you can just double tap to zoom in/out you know... :)
