UPDATE: I need more help. Once I do what the second poster told me to do, it suddenly thinks my ipod touch is an iPhone, from there, it tries to restore to an iPhone firmware, which errors out. I tried shift+ clicking restore in order to install an ipod touch firmware it creates an error because it thinks im trying install it on an iPhone. It never ends, does it?

I have a video:

Okay, firmware was 1.1.5 on the ipod touch, so I go to this tutorial:

http://www.iphonehacks.com/2008/07/pw...

and download the 1.1.4 that they provide. I go to the winpwn app and hit browse .ipsw, and used the 1.1.4 that I downloaded, I then hit iPwner.

Open itunes and connect the ipod with the usb cable (nothing should happen).

Press and hold the power and home button, and after exactly 10 seconds release the power button but keeping hold of the home button. 10 seconds or so later itunes should recognise something and you can release the home button. Thats DFU mode where you can restore the firmware using itunes.
