Santa was very good to me this year. I've been saving up my money to make "the switch", and Santa saved the day w/ a brand new G5 + cinema display! The machine hasn't arrived yet, but my display has.

Unfortunately, i'm still going to need to use my PC quite a bit for work. I'd really like to be able to share a single keyboard, mouse and my fancy new display between my PC (DVI) and my new Mac. Is anyone out there doing this? Any recommendations on the right hardware for the job?

some web searches turned up this (expensive) option:

http://www.gefen.com/kvm/product.jsp?prod_id=1320

as well as a Dr. Bott solution:

http://www.drbott.com/prod/db.lasso?code=1111-MSAD

which would also need a converter cable for my PC. No matter what, it looks like this is likely to set me back $300-$500 bucks. So before I buy, I'd love to hear from someone who's actually using one of these things.

Thanks!
