Updated itunes 7.7 but still says 7.6??

So I just did a software update and tried to upgrade to itunes 7.7. When the update was all done, with no probs I open itunes and under "about itunes" it still says itunes 7.6. What am I doing wrong. I'm also trying to get 2.0 for my og iphone, but itunes says 1.1.4 iphone software is current.😡
If anyone knows how to help, it would be greatly appreciated!!
