USB Mic AND Pro Tools

I am new to Macs and Pro Tools I was wondering if there was a way to record in Pro Tools using a USB mic? I haven't had a chance to purchase a regular mic but I just wanted to lay down some sketches before laying vocals in a studio. Please let me know if this is possible and how do I do it.

It isn't possible because Pro Tools can't use any other hardware other than the interface that you bought. So whatever you have, an Mbox 2, Digi003 or whatever, you have to plug into that in order to record something. I know it sucks but thats how it is.
