Is it possible to build on an Ipod Touch?

I thought that it was, because I watched the introduction video online before the SDK came out. However, I can't remember if they said that you are only able to do it on an Iphone or not.

If you can then do I need to pay the $99 developer fee? Or can I do it without paying the $99? Because like in the video they said that they povided (this...this... and this) for their "paid developers."

If anyone can answer these questions it will be greatly appreciated. :)

Well I found out that I can in fact run the apps on my ipod touch...

but now i ran into this weird error that i searched on google and I havent found an answer that applies to me yet =/ The other people are having similar problems, but i havent seen anything useful in the help that the other people have been trying to give them.

here is the error:

Your mobile device has encountered an unexpected error (0xE8000001) during the install phase: Verifying application
Try disconnecting and powering off the device; then power the device on and reconnect it.

Sounds like your trying to use the adhoc method - for some reason I could not get that working as well. Use a developer certificate and provision your device with a development profile. Also make sure to reboot after you install the SDK - if it was installed before hand.

The portal covers the needed steps well but if you need help feel free to pm.

And yeah with the fee (99.00) you can build and test your apps on your own device. I'm using a touch too and it works great.

You got this error message because you have not paid for the developers fee.
