DSI will soon release the new mechanical keyboard for Mac.

http://www.notestation.com/kb-modmac-u.htm

now I would like to know if anyone has used the prior version of their keyboard
http://www.notestation.com/smk-88.htm
and if this will be worth buying since it's $60 cheap if you pre-order it now.
I appreciate any comments. Thanks.

Why does mechanical have to mean ugly?

That thing looks like it fell out of the ugly tree, hit all the branches on the way down, then cut down the ugly tree, misjudged it, and got flattened by the ugly tree as it fell.

I realized this thread is old, but you can always check out www.elitekeyboards.com where they sell Filco, HHKB, and Topre keyboards.
