I love it... Apple is practically the only company where rumors get posted as fact. I guess news sites just can't miss out on all the drama (http://www.appleturns.com/) that goes on in the Mac world. :)

It made it onto the front page of today's print edition of the Telegraph (UK's biggest selling broadsheet).
Normally it's the Guardian who rave about Apple products, but now it's sweeping across the UK press.

This is London ran another ad today and so did Variety.com.

With all these stories I'm betting Apples Mini-iPod rumor will now appear on Tech Tv sometime today.

its a pretty big rumor, just shows you popular these ipods are. I mean I've never seen so much buzz over one product ever. and there I was thinking when the imacs came out it was huge, the ipods are simply just the device to end all devices :D

not surprisingly, this story hit Slashdot a couple of days ago as well. there is a pretty big discussion over this little tidbit. if this turns out to be true i just may be one of the first in line to buy myself a wee little iPod.

Makes me wonder if the tail is wagging the dog. Someone makes a W.A.G and posts it as a rumor. Steve finds it one a witchhunt. when he can't find someone to burn at the stake for leaking gets a crash program to throw together a prototype that will run on stage in the RDF and announce he will ship the real thing RSN.

i hope the new mini pods (if they do exist) are smaller. i already have an ipod and the the only way ill by another is if they are easier to use while i exercise.

with almost a million ipods sold this year i think apple is starting to get noticed by many more people and therefore has become more newsworthy to the masses. even a year or two ago, you'd never see anything in the news about apple, but now there's an article about the ipod and/or itunes every other day.

There has to be some sort of spin that hasn't been mentioned yet. They wont sell these unless they know they wont canabalize sales.
