Iphone 3G unloock or sell or ipod?

Well lets just say I have a 3g that was registered to me one day but not anymore
What are my options? Can I unlock it and sell it on ebay?
Can I sell it not unlocked but would it work?
 
There's no 3G unlock yet.

I don't want to assume you stole it, so how did you get out of it without giving back the phone?
 
Lets just say I wasnt happy that they gave a replacement phone so they gave me a new one and the BOSS lady told me to just keep that one and get out, since they never put anything in computer about it
 
Would it be worth throwing that on ebay?
Any idea when unlock comes out
