vb hack for integrating home page blog w/ vb forum

I am creating an information forum site that will have a similar home page layout to yours. I know vbadavance has the side modules that have similar features as the one you have on your home page. But I am wondering about middle content area which is like blog post of articles that are feeding into the forums so people can comment. Is there a hack out there available so I can do something similar to my Vbadvanced home page? Thanks

MacRumors uses a custom script for the vBulletin and front page integration. There are versions of similar scripts around but I don't know the details.
