Refurb Store stocking days & time?

I need to order a computer, of course what i needed popped up at around 6pm last night, but direct deposit didn't hit the bank until this morning, and what i want is gone.

SInce i've only been watching for a few days, i have no clue when Apple has been stocking. Afternoons now? When i bought my laptop it was early morning. I guess i'm trying to figure out if i missed the weekend stock and will have to wait till early next week or not....

Well, i thought that was it - BUT, it restocked last night shortly after 6pm Eastern. HEnce my confusion for the weekend......

I got it!!!

They did apparently restock again this afternoon at some point. When we got home from dinner & errands i checked and there it was.

NOthing exciting - the cheapest new mac i can buy - the $499 mini. Perfect for what i need it to do (record TV), and the used G4's i was looking at where $399ish, so i'd rather have beans for dinner for a week and have something "new".

I'll roll it to the kids when i'm done with it - they have an eMac (G4, 1.25mz), this will be a step up for them. The best part - i get to get more use of MY laptop (which will also be recording TV - school stuff for the kids).

I'm just thankful i didn't have to wait until next week to get it!! And, here is hoping that i get it late next week.... i could really use it starting Sunday.

Congrats - I just got the exact same machine (refurb from the Apple Store site) and it arrived Thursday - typing on it now. It's a great machine thus far.

Feerless - would you mind posting when you ordered? Like - saturday and it arrived Friday.....

LOL, i'm just trying to figure out my schedule for the week!

Enjoy it - it's a shame that it will be spending over 50 hours a week recording a satellite feed and i won't get to play with it at all (will be the only leopard machine in the house) for anything else until next may......

Ordered Thursday, received the following Thursday. I ordered at 11:30p ET and they shipped the next day.

They all ship from Elk Grove, Calif. via Fedex ground (unless you got speedier shipping). So just look at the FedEx ground delivery time from 95758 to your zipcode and that should give you an idea.

Thanks! I'm a 5 day ship from CA (gee, there was a perk to living in CA huh?), but glad to see that it *should* go out on Monday. IT's showing "prepared for shipment".

I'll plan on hopefully friday then! I'd love to be able to test once the sample week of my classes starts on Saturday night. Put it thru some paces and make sure no issues crop up.

I don't have time for any issues..... :o

This shipping thing is going to do me in....

It's coming Home Delivery - it says, "Home Delivery-Indirect", gee, that sounds like the crappy "hand off to the local post office to screw up" thing they do sometimes. NOte that i have Home Delivery/Ground service in my area.

So before Fed Ex got the package it was showing Saturday as the delivery day. Now it's changed to thursday. Which is really leading to believe it WILL be the crappy hand off to the post office thing... guess i'll just go hand out there if i have to (my mail lady, well, ya...... she has to drive by my house to get to the boxes - but will just leave a note in the box to go to the post office anyway).

I'll call Fed Ex later - maybe they will shock me and it won't be the hand off thing?!

Anyway, it's on it's way to FL from CA. Now to get the other piece ordered (well, after my day at the dentist yesterday - this really needs to go BACK to CA :( )
