uploading files to mobile me so user doesn't have to download

Pretty elemental question, here:

Can I upload files to MobileMe that can play upstairs (ie, without user having to download)? Or is that another animal and could someone describe that?

I have a portfolio of various files (wmv, flash, quicktime, ms word, pdf, dmg). I ultimately seek how to let users at them without having to download.

With .mac (and it still works with MobileMe), I put files in the Sites folder of iDisk, and then access them by going to http://homepage.mac.com/username/filename

Cool. Halfway there. You can access your stuff, but can others do that, too, with that link? And in a way that protects the rest of site for you?
