Help with transferring music on to iphone

Hi, i'm extremely technologically illiterate so need help.

I just bought an iphone and i'm in the middle of setting it up. Whenever i connect it up to the PC to download the music i have on there from my ipod, it just tells me 'cannot connect to the itunes store'. Any ideas what to do?

Another thing is i'm not sure of my BT homehub wifi password and i've been told i'll eventually need this to transfer the music. Is this the case and if it is, how do i find out my own password. I know this sounds as thick as ****, but when it comes to phones and the like, i am.

You'll need to access your wireless network for that on the 2G iPhone.
