Hi -
I have a 2-year old MacBook. When I started running Windows, I noticed a dramatic decrease in battery performance. (It now has 44% of the original capacity according to a battery app I ran today.)
I understand that there are a host of matters that affect battery life.
Does running Windows pose any inherent risks that I need to be aware of? In other words, Macs seem to have decent battery life, and I assume that there is software(firmware?) that helps optimize battery life...can running Windows expose me to any risks?
The weird thing and reason I ask is normally a Windows laptop gives the user a 5% battery life remaining, and prompts the user to plug in the laptop. When I run Windows on my Mac, I seem NOT to get a warning, and the battery entirely runs out of energy - which only exascerbates the problem, I know.
Thank you for any input.
