Transferring iPhone contacts

had iphone a while now, and to be honest cant really remember how I transferred my contacts from my sim. But its really starting to annoy me . First of all even though theyre in your contacts , their texts come up as unknown numbers? Furthermore when you "add to contact" the problem still persists. Its quite a nuisance because you'll get a text and not have a clue who it is! whats the best way to transfer contacts from sim? and please don't suggest the manual option.;)

I used phone tools to pull the data off of my old phone, and the imported everything into outlook. That way I have a backup. Once you do that you can export the back out to your new phone. Try doing it again
