i got an iMic...good sound input for the damn iMac basketball flatscreen that doesn't have one for some odd reason. Sadly it's incompatible with pro audio apps like digital performer 4. good for transferring a random record into the computer though. 4 thumbs up :)

Yes the first version of the Macintosh. My father discovered it when helping a friend with OS 9  and asked what his plans were and he said the trash. So he told him that in return for all the tech support he would take the Mac instead and thats how I got my beautiful Mac classic.

I was supposed to get a 10 gig iPod, but they were sold out all over the place. I told my wife to wait until after MacWorld. We'll see what I end up with.

I got Applecare for my iBook, just before the year ran out.
Am still waiting for it to be delivered though, ordered it on the 5th of December.
How stupid is that?
(Of course I've already been invoiced)

I didn't get anything, but I gave (4) 20GB iPods to various members of my family, and offered to pay the cost difference between a dell laptop and a powerbook to my cousin who is about to get a laptop for college (she has to get the powerbook now!).

Giving is so much better, besides, I'll be giving myself a few presents after MWSF....

No hardware or software, but my mom did some investigating and found me a great Apple Keychain. I was so proud of her, she got on eBay and found it and bid on it all by herself and everything!

As far as giving, I gave just about everyone I could at least a $10 iTMS gift certificate to try and get them introduced to the Music Store. We'll see if it takes!

I bought myself a new iMac at the beginning of December, (my first Mac ever!), so I guess that kind of counts. And then my brother bought me a couple Mac magazines to get me started, along with a year's subscription to MacWorld!

I'm with the majority, didn't get any Mac related items for Christmas. My wife just got Panther and a new 15" PowerBook at the Panther Release Party.

My wife picked me up a MDD G4.. would have preferred she let me know, and put the money towards a G5, but so be it. It does have 2 gigs of RAM and a second hard drive (250gig) so it's not too shabby.

"Wow! This box is so big and heavy. It... it looks like a computer box. Maybe a PowerMac box!"

Wife nods her head excitedly.

"Wow! Thank you, honey!"

Husband tears off wrapping paper. "Oh. Oh my. It is a PowerMac. A G4 PowerMac. How... nice." :(

It's why Christmas is a lose-lose situation. You want to surprise them, but if you do, you'll probably get it wrong. So if you don't, they're happy but no one's excited and Christmas feels like a lame excuse to overconsume.

Not that, you know, I'm complaining about overconsumption or anything. ;)

I got an Airport card, slotted it into my Tangerine iBook (I'm oldschool, baby!), and promptly had said iBook run over by my brother's car because he was negligent with the bag I'd put in his trunk. :(

The card is salvageable, but the iBook is toast. It just isn't worth it to replace the LCD, CD drive, upper frame, and the outer shell, when I can get a refurbished or used snowbook for the cost of parts alone.

*sigh*

You served me well, good friend. Rest in peace.

I got myself a 19" Samsung TrueFlat CRT screen and the JBL Creature speakers for a really great price ( thank god for boxing day !! )

All this is patiently waiting for my yet-to-be-announced G5 to arrive in Febuary-March. I plan on getting the new, low-end, G5 when it's released.

So PLEAAAAAAAASE Apple, release it at Macworld !!!

My sister in Richmond sent my wife (who I gave an iPod for her birthday this spring) a physical iTMS gift certificate, and me a t-shirt from the grand opening of the Apple Store at Short Pump Town Center. My parents in New Jersey sent each of us a t-shirt from the grand opening of the Apple Store at Sagemore. Since we live some 5,000 miles away, the t-shirts were nice presents. :)

I got inter-act's top quality steering wheel and pedal set, and use them with 4X4 Evo 2. From myself, I got,(downloaded illegally) Halo, Logic Platinum, Max Payne, Unreal Tourny 2003, Adobe Illustrator, Norton System Works, Norton Antivirus, and Diskwarrior. Now, I have a total of over $25,000 in software. But something is still missing.........Dual 3 GHz G5 with 256 MB GPU, 8 GB RAM, Terabyte HD, and 30" Apple HD display.
