Can I bootup my MBP from a Drobo Drive ?

If my MBP HD gets corrupt / damaged

😀 Will I be able to bootup osX through the Drobo drive ?

or

🙄 Will I have to restore osX 1st to the MBP HD, before being able to see the drobo drive ?
 
As long as you're making a bootable clone on your drive, then yes, you can boot up into it.

You can't boot up into something like a time machine backup though.
