Where can I alter this setting?
Also, is it bad that I never allow my PB to sleep?

It will sleep when you close the lid. You can't change that afaik.
The only bad thing about not letting a laptop sleep is shorter battery life. Apart from that there's nothing wrong with it.

I leave it plugged in over night, so I guess I'll just leave the lid open.
Damn... on PCs you can disable the sleep feature... oh well, im still glad i switched.

When you close the lid and it goes to sleep can't you plug a mouse or keyboard in and wake it that way?

I usually leave downloads and my aim open over night, and I hate how sleep disconnects me from these. I guess I'll just leave the lid open.

The reason it goes it sleep is to prevent overheating. The latest models of PBs have lid-closed operation though.

I found two pieces of software on Version tracker that prevent sleep when the lid is closed.
- SleepLess (seems to be very stable, I'm using it on my 12" PB G4 now.)
- NoSleep (comments on version tracker make it sound VERY dangerous. I've not been brave enough to try it.)
As always, temperature can be a problem, so use caution. I am trying out "Temperature Monitor", which speaks the temperature every so often. (ie. While I"m listening to iTunes), so I can know if my CPU gets too hot.

I also use sleepless. It works very well, however I am a little bit afraid of the computer overheating when the lid is closed. What will happen? Might the screen melt/get killed?
