How to add prepaid ATT/T-Mobile Sim card?

Anyone know how prepaid SIMs work? Do they stop mid-call once you've reached your limit (preferable) or do they continue and charge you over?
 
As far as T-Mobile, you'll have to unlock it. And the 3G iPhone has not yet been unlocked.

I'm not sure if this would even work with AT&T, as the no-contract 3G iPhones are not yet available.

can't you just jailbreak it?

It can unlock the 2G iPhone if you want it to, but the 3G iPhone is currently unable to be unlocked.

Sorry, I wasn't sure what exactly you were getting at.

I'm not exactly sure how prepaid SIM cards work because I've never used one. But it only makes sense to me that once your money/texts/minutes are up, the phone won't be able to perform those functions. If you're in the middle of a call - your time is up, too bad.

However, this is only speculation on my part on what appears logical to me.

I think prepaid sim card, thats what they are made for LOL. What i want to know is for the old generation Iphone, how do you do it!!!!! Whats the software used or w/e!

Is it possible to download Iphone Sim free software or did they make it locked or per customer so you have to buy it 😵? Any way to get it off the internet somewhere else?
