Ok something isnt right

I install Boss Prefs the phone freezes in Cydia and then gets stuck on the boot screen and I have to restore. The same thing happened with mobile terminal and other apps. What could be causing this? I don't see why I can't install these programs without an issue every time. It seems like the only things I can install without a problem are sliders and appearance changes.

Sorry I should have mentioned that. It is an original iphone running 2.0.

Well I haven't gone yet from 1.1.4 to 2.0, but I believe there are a lot of warnings around that BossPrefs is not yet fully functional with 2.0.

Have patience :)
