i just want to do it for kicks. i have a lot of 12 iBooks. some have cracked screens, crashed hd's etc...

Yes it's a possible, but it's probably not doable.

You have better chances building your own F1 engine.

Possible, but its not going to be easy. The 1.33s use several different components than the 1.07s. You will have to transport over the internal AP/BT card, the antennae which connect to it which go into the display unit, possibly the top case if the trackpad cables are different...would end up being a real pain in the arse. If you have one with a cracked screen you're better off transplanting a good LCD into it than trying to swap out the logics.

No. Completely different internal components.
