Is my new iphone refurbished?

Quick question: when i took my 'brand new' iphone out of the box, i noticed that the lifetime usage stated 2 days, 11 hours.

does this mean that the phone was previously owned?

Previously owned by who, Steve Jobs?

You restored the new phone with the original iphone backup file, correct?

did you take it out of the box 2days and 11 hours after buying it?

The lifetime comes from the backup file, or the life of the SIM.

Exactly what I thought it was.

Actually, I was looking at the screen, and that is talk time since the last reset. Whereas Usage is time on since last full charge.

The screen tells you when your last reset and full charge occurred.

Well, the SIM i popped in my new phone is the one i was using for my first gen iphone, and would have waaay more more than 2 days 11 hours on it!

It came from the backup file. The Lifetime field is total number of minutes used of voice time since the last reset (which is listed at the bottom of the screen).
