What would I want to buy to speed up my 13 inch 1.83 GHz MacBook????

Max the ram to 2Gb and a brand new 250GB HardDrive.
That will do the trick.

Im doin the ram i was thinking of doing a 7200 rpm model

Most 7200 RPM laptop HDs don't have the data density of 5400 RPM HDs, so slower larger HDs can actually be faster (and generally are), but if you want the best of both, get a 320 Gb 7200 RPM drive from here.

The 200GB 7200 drive is much faster than the 250GB 5400, and also uses less power and generates less heat.
