go to settings and erase all content and settings... says it takes about an hour

So which is better? I'm guessing restore is from iTunes? And the other is in the IPhone settings. Whats the diff?

Restore from iTunes restores your phone to the way it was on the last backup. Restore on the phone wipes it clean.
