One of the reasons that I bought a MAC is because of the better movie and picture software. I am trying to figure out imovie and can figure some of it out. But because of work and 2 small kids I just can't sit around and play for hours.

Is there an easy way to really learn the imovie software well. I would really like to create cool movies and use all the features that imovie has to offer.

Thanks for any help! :)

you'll find dozens of titles at amazon or barns and noble that will help

do a google search and you'll probably find countless online tutorials

or you could just watch all of the tutorials on apples website. they have TONS of videos showing how to use iMovie. http://www.apple.com/ilife/tutorials/#imovie

I do that, I just wanted something I can sit and refer to as I make a movie...

well

the best way to learn the software it through comprehensive tutorials

you can get a reference book ... but many times you'll find you want to do something but you won't know the jargon behind what to even find

a "teach yourself iMovie" tutorial will probably cover the software well

Our church gave us a very short dvd of our son's testimonial.
I want to make a copy of it and send it to our eldest son, who is serving in Iraq.

What is a VERY simply way to save it to a file and then I could make an attachment?

I'm use to the PC. *hangs head in shame* lol

Thanks for any info.
as far as a search? I've looked under dvd, saving dvd, burning... can't find anything here.

Get Handbrake (http://handbrake.fr/?article=download) and use that to rip the content from the DVD into a compressed format. Then you can email it.

In most OSX apps, on the menu bar on top, there is "HELP".

Under that there are both video and text tutorials. Have you tried that?

Some people are just too lazy.
