MacBook Mouse & Keyboard stopped working

A friend of mine macbook's mouse and keyboard stopped working last night for no reason, ideas? (They told me they didn't update and I think they are running leopard).

Loose connection could have finally worked all the way out. Spilt beer may have found its way to the end of the keyboard/trackpad ribbon. More details would be a help.

They treats this computer like a baby, so its not something physical that they would of done to cause this, either malfunction or software issue.

The same thing just happened to me. I went to the genius bar and something with whatever the keyboard, mouse and power button hook into was loose. If you friend goes in, they will fix it for her.
