I've finally decided not to buy a new imac because of the glossy screen.
I use my current mac mainly for internet, office and photo editing (aperture).
Right now I have a 17" imac G5 1.9ghz/ 1GB.
I decided to replace it for a new (updated I hope) mac mini dual core next month.
Apple Cinema screens are way too expensive for me, I want a larger screen than 20". The 23" sells over here (The Netherlands) for € 899,- (= approx. $1.400,-).
So I spent a lot of time looking for a decent 3rd party monitor. I really like 22" screen size, 24" is too large for my desk space and viewing distance.
I'm choosing between 2 finalists:
1. Eizo FlexScan S2231WE-BK 22,1" (€ 550,- / $ 870,-)

2. Lenovo L220X (€ 400,- / $ 630,-)

Both displays have great reviews:

The Lenovo has 1920x1200 max. resolution , while the Eizo displays only 1680x1050 pixels. Both have similar design. Both have S-PVA panels.
So: It looks like an easy win for the Lenovo.
But:
The Eizo brand has:
-Rock solid reputation
-Japanese design and manufacturing
-5 Year warranty
-Better mac support
Does anyone have any experience with one of these panels?
Please Advice.
Thanks!
