okay so i have this horizontal spry menu that is being covered up by a flash movie. well the main menu shows but when i go over a specific menu item to show sub items, it show but you can tell its under the flash movie. i would upload the site but i dont have server space for it now. any idea on how to bring the menu forward or send the flash back?

Try adding the CSS z-index:2; to the spry menu.

im using the generic version of the menu provided by dreamweaver and the z index is set to 1000...if i change it to 2 nothing happens, if i add a zindex: 2 the menu is stacked

Check out this page for a solution (http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/printthread.php?t=158317&pp=200), and be sure to follow the links people post on the page.

it hasn't been fixed in all browsers yet, kind of a bugger especially with expanding ads in sites.

someone said:
"Setting wmode to "transparent" or "opaque" changes the render settings of Flash so they layer in the page the way other objects do (and z-index will work). Since you had set the window mode for the first Flash movie, it was rendering "in the page", where your second Flash movie was "floating on top", or the default."
