Installer crashes

My Installer quits more often than not when updating programs. Example I still haven't been able to download Quicktime or iTunes update. It crashes. I've called the help desk and their no help. I guess I could take it to the Apple store.

I guess I could take it to the Apple store. First delete the Installer preferences. If that does not fix your problem, then delete the application and rerun your OS installation CD. That will replace the deleted Installer app.
