we use it once in a while. mainly for stews and venison strips in bbq sauce...ok..my mouth started to water 😉
You should check your local grocery store - some of them have cooking lessons.
Start with basics and work your way from there. ie. if you can bbq, buy some burgers and 'bulk' cook. We're a small family of 4...small meaning we don't eat alot, but when I cook....I don't cook 6 burgers...I cook 24 and freeze the rest. Why? B/c in 45 seconds microwave time - hamburger! 🙂
Same thing with chicken.
And for veggies, we use a steamer probably 3 times a week at least. again, i cook way more than I need and keep the rest in the fridge.
good luck,
keebler
ps. you're lucky...b/c you're just starting out - take the time to plan your meals if you can. great way to learn cooking b/c you can take the time to learn and not be stressed about having to cook something at the last minute, not knowing how and then resorting to the local fastfood joint.
