Mars Mission - JPL Macs

I've been watching NASA TV coverage on the net at spaceref.com. I've noticed some 15" Tibooks on the desks. I found through searches that Macs have been around JPL for awhile. There's a current item on the apple site that touches on the subject.

my friend is one of the db techs on the MER project, and earlier this year he was complaining that the macs they're using wouldn't open the files they'd normally send to everyone, and that they needed this or that.. he wasn't very happy about it, then AIM crashed his PC. :D
