Star Wars BattleFront (intel based macbook pro)

Hey everybody, I'm new to Mac so I was hoping some of you may be to help. I have a 15inch MacBook Pro (2.5 duo core Intel). I'm trying to run Star Wars BattleFront and it won't run. I install the game, try to run it and nothing happens. I tried applying the newest patch (which by the way wont install, I'm not the only one with this issue where the patch hangs indefinitely). There are a few people on Apples website who write reviews about games they've purchased and some of the people who got it to run use MacBook Pro. Any ideas?
 
Works fine for me but it seems that Battlefront has had problems with OS updates on Intel in the past. I installed Battlefront back when I was using 10.5.3.
 
I have the same problem. Battlefront used to run fine. Haven't played in a few months, so I don't know when the problem started. Now I am on Mac OS 10.5.4 and it Battlefront will open, but nothing happens. Reinstalled to no avail.
