I was using the last.fm app to scrobble it's broken now. See the link above four plus pages of complaints.
After d/l iScrobbler like FFW recommended it works great. Again thank you for pointing me in the right direction. 🙂

Isn't it designed to be used with iScrobbler anyway? I know when I got last.fm I got iScrobbler that same time.

it's a change in iTunes' applescript support...
It's a (conveniently undocumented) change in applescript that's causing these woe's... see http://ootunes.blogspot.com/2008/08/undocumented-change-in-itunes.html for a short list of apps affected (probably many more)...
