just wondering, if you buy apple care within the year of warranty, does that make the total warranty time 4 yrs? and when that times up can you buy another applecare or can you only get one?😕

You only get 1...extends coverage to 3 years.

Apple care extends the warranty starting from date of purchase. If you buy it right when you purchase the computer or within the 1st year, it expires on the same date.

I didn't want to pay for a new laptop and AppleCare at the same time, so I bought the AppleCare later on.

Also, you can only buy it once. You can't keep extending the warranty.

is there any 3rd party things to cover it once the warrantys up incase something happens?

No, because APPLE won't. if it's not had a problem in three years, it will keep going virtually indefinitely. My Apple ][ and LC 575 still work like the day out of the box.
