how do i share my 56k connection my computers are panther and xp they are connected over crossover cable.

Should be pretty easy, just some configurations to set. Presuming that your modem connection works on your Mac, just go to System Preferences -> Sharing -> Internet Sharing and enable it on your ethernet port. Your Mac will then assign an IP to your XP box and it should connect.
