iPhone 2.0.1 keeps crashing

updated to 2.0.1 yesterday and now my iphone crashes on all 3rd party apps (super monkey ball, twitterific, aim, 1 password etc)

any suggestions?

try a restore and then reinstall all apps

I had the same problem. I tried to avoid a restore to save time.

What I did was to make sure that my apps were backed-up in iTunes. Then I uninstalled the apps on my iPhone, then re-synced and allowed iTunes to re-install my apps.

Now everything works great.

Ok, good it's not just me. My problem is that when I recover from this using either method I lose application data. Right now I would be happy understanding what is the cause of this. Any ideas?

I would assume it's a simple glitch on Apple's part. (yes, even apple makes mistakes) It makes sense though, simply re-syncing the apps from itunes after the update should work.
