hi team,

i have a 2 month old 15 inch mbp, and the screen seems to have a slight green tint, i only realized it when i was looking at it from my living room, and all the lights where off. Up until now i just thought it was the saturation of the screen, is this a common problem? if so what now?

thanks.

go into system preferences - displays - colour tab (top) then colour LCD and calibrate.

Noticed the exact same thing on my brand new MPB 2.6.

After a bunch of minutes with supercal, and teaking the RGB values I was able to solve that issue.

It is common, since every LCD as some sort of tint, easily solved with a bit of patience!

Is your LCD 9c81, like mine?

Ah yes, just need a little display calibration. Personally Mac Gamma is a little to washed out for me.

couldn't find my LCD model number, where could i find that? Also went trought the calibration, but it had like two options to tweak and no real change...anything else i can try? or perhaps someone could send me a profile that is already calibrated and i can import that into my settings?

thanks again.

thanks for that, so i go 'open profile' then have a bunch, and i tried double clicking, but how do you pick one and get the screen to apply those parameters?

thanks again.

You put the calibrated profile in Macintosh HD---->Library---->ColorSync---->Profiles

Then go to System Preferences---->Displays and select the new profile.
