How long of wait is it to get an iPhone 3g?

Is there really still a wait?

Check apple online the night before and get there when the store opens, you should be ok.
 
they are still(almost one month passed the launch date!) handing out vouchers to a later time frame within the same day at my apple store(although I believe it's the busiest apple store on earth, most of them do the same)

demand is still more then supply folks.
 
it really all depends. call your apple store. if they have em in just go. when i went it was a week after launch day and it wasn't crowded at all. its different from place to place
 
I agree, a quick phone call is all it takes. Had my 3G 16GB White after 10 minutes in line, and 5 minutes with a Genius. It was totally cool...
 
I ordered mine (16 GB Black) last Monday and am picking it up today at ATT. Nine days from order to pickup.
