Summary: some iPhone apps have become cheaper since their first release.
(Not sure how to connect that with the headline.)

What a stupid article.
He covered way too much, and really failed in tying it all together to the actual point of the article and headline.

I'm amazed how this crappy Jirbo always manages to get so much press. They must be really good at PR. Won't save the company though because there apps are mediocre and their plans to sell ads nebulous.
On topic: many of the apps were written in a very short time, so the price drops seem kind of harsh to developers, but are actually appropriate. Especially when you see the huge download figures. As an independent developer you can basically make a living by just placing one 0.99$ app in the top 50.

People who have developed the better apps have definitely made quite a bit of cash. This article is more or less factually incorrect.
