First off, couldn't you have asked the engraving question in the other iPod thread you started, rather than starting a new thread? Secondly, triple posting is just annoying...

unless it's a gift for someone, I say leave it blank. no engraving.

If you ever want to sell it on ebay to upgrade to another model, who wants to buy one that says something on the back of it personalized to yourself.

Of course, if you plan to keep it forever, get whatever you want. Maybe "Property of {insert name here)" in case it ever gets lost and include your email address.
