iCal won't sync to .mac. Address book won't sync with .mac

I can get my address book to sync to .mac, but not my ical calendar.

Using isync I can sync ical to my ipod.
I can also publish my calendar to .mac.

But I can't sync iCal to .mac, even though Apple says i should be able to.

Any guesses why?

I have no idea why. Every other bit of isync works perfectly.

make sure what is checked? they turn on syncing box? If that's it, I have already.

I had the same problem and it was related to my keychain. Got to utilities > Keychain Access. Make sure your key chains are unlocked. When I restarted to see if they were unlocked, they weren't so I just reset my keychain.

I went to preferences and "Reset My Keychain". Restart your computer and make sure the new keychain is unlocked. Then try entering your password in .Mac.

go to system preferences,
mobileme,
isync,
advanced,
select your mac from the list.
reset sync brings up a window that asks you if you want to overwrite ical on your mac or on mobile me.

overwrite the mobileme data with the data on your mac (but you lose all info on mobileme that's not on your mac!!)
