Buying a Camera in New York City

Got a quick question. I will be in the states for 6 weeks and want to buy a camera. Nothing fancy just a nice small one that I can carry in my pocket.

Want to spend roughly $250 and I'm located in Jersey City but Manhattan is fine too.

Anybody know any good shops?

Neptune Photo. another reputable company is B & H Photo. both are in NY.

Do NOT be tempted by those hole-in-the-wall stores that sell electronics: most of their stuff is priced way below market, mainly because it is gray-ware. BH is you're best bet.

B&H is a great store. :) J&R is good too as an alternative.

As said before, stay away from the thousands of little electronics stores that have all their merchandise in the window....very shady.
