Read/Unread Syncing

Hey. I have a question.

I have found that when I read an e-mail in Mail on my Mac, it will not then be marked unread on my iPhone under any circumstances. This was never an issue when I used GMail--my read/unread statuses would sync immediately.

Anyone know why there is such a delay in MobileMe? I've tried deleting my iPhone's MobileMe settings, turning mail sync on and off, redoing it in Mail on my Mac. Nothing.
