Hi all,

Situation is; my mother has just this morning upgraded to the 3G 16GB iPhone and has given me her 2G 8GB model which I will be unlocking etc to Vodafone UK.

As I am currently away from my house (and computer - Windows Vista x64) and she has her Macbook Pro, would I be ok to unlock etc using her Macbook Pro and then once I get home, connect it all up to my computer to sync with iTunes and Outlook etc.

Would there be any sort of compatibility issues between it being plugged into her iTunes and then mine at a later date? I just want to use it as a phone for a few days until I get home.

Kind regards,

BigMikeyP

You should be alright.

Just as long as you don't sync the library. If you do you will only have to erase it when you get home.

many thanks. I have now done it all on the mac and just waiting for my old sim to be delivered today.

Fingers crossed! When I first sync it to my library at home, would I just choose the new iPhone option?
