Mac Mini transfer to MacBook

I currently have a Mac Mini and I want to transfer all settings/Apps/data to my new MacBook.

I know there is a transfer wizard in the utilities but my question is this - will it be ok to do this because the MacBook has extra features (trackpad etc..) will it wipe all the extra features or doesn't it affect it.
I know that the restore CD will only work with the MacBook because of these extra features but will a transfer of everything from MacMini to MacBook be ok to do?

Use Migration Assistant. It won't screw up any of your hardware settings for your MB.
