How To: Use an External email Domain?

Now that MobileMe seems to have stabilized, I'm considering signing up so that I can have Push mail and sync my iCal.

I don't want to lose my custom domain though. I'm not about to adopt the @me.com email for my business.

Is there a convenient way to use MobileMe to push custom domain email to my iPhone?

I was thinking here and the real reason, apart from Push mail that I'm considering MobileMe is to keep my desktop and iPhone mail in sync.

As it stands now, I barely use Mail for checking my email, I do that on my iPhone. It'll be almost a week before I go check it on my desktop. When I do though, there are dozens of unread emails when in reality, I read them already on my iPhone.

Would it be better if I switched from POP mail to IMAP? That way, my desktop and iPhone email would reflect read and deleted messages equally. :confused:
